To My Demons, with Love

August 12, 2015 by jesslm Leave a Comment

We all have a few of them, don’t we?

Do you ever get tired of fighting them?  Perhaps you don’t have to.  Perhaps they were never intended to make your life hell.  Perhaps every single one was only ever trying to help you, in their narrow-visioned way.

Perhaps, like Rilke says, everything that frightens us is something helpless that wants our love.  And perhaps, when we give them what they are so desperate to find from others, we can set the caged birds free.  They don’t have to stay dark, unseen, and afraid.  Show them how much better life is, out here in the open air.

On that note, here is the link to my newest Rebelle Society piece.  As always, thank you for reading!
