Lovely Colorado

I took a (rather arduous) hike with two of my aunts this past weekend in Rocky Mountain National Park.  It was cold with gusting winds, more than we were prepared for!  But in between the clouds scudding in the wind, the sun came out.  And the hike was worth it.

After a steep climb along the mountainside — where this beauty was still hanging on for dear life —

the trail levels out, winds around and over a stream, and finally comes out to this view of Dream Lake–

Worth being a little chilly, if you ask me 🙂

Oh, and watch out for these ferocious beasts.  They’ll gang up on you–
